But the console shows "No ESS Assistent found". How can I debug this?

I have tested an old firmware v2.94 and ess is shown. Switching back to v3.40 and ess is gone again. In v2.94 i am missing some python packages i need so I can not use it. Where is the difference to v3.40 regarding ess?

Thanks,

It is very reproducible. With 3.20 the assistant is found (but then doesn't work because Multiplus gets stuck on pass-throu), with 3.40 the assistant is not found. I have already tested a different MK3 cable with the same result. What could be the reason?

The problem is you have altered the GX and other programming.

Basically you have to reset to factory or stock. Get it working, then alter from there.
