How to connect SmartSolar MPPTs to Venus on Raspi via Bluetooth?

dear all :-)

I'm trying to connect my MPPTs to Venus via Bluetooth (and keep them connected!). Since there seems to be no menu for this on the graphical console, I connected via ssh an did

bluetoothctl

power on
agent on
default-agent
scan on
pair DF:C5:98:EA:6F:6D
trust DF:C5:98:EA:6F:6D
connect DF:C5:98:EA:6F:6D

This did work - but only for some short while.

After about half a minute I got

[CHG] Device DF:C5:98:EA:6F:6D ServicesResolved: no
[CHG] Device DF:C5:98:EA:6F:6D Connected: no

What can I do to keep the connection established?

Where in the graphical console I can see / access the MPPT when connected?

Thank you very much for help & kind greetigs!

Phil

@Philippoo

Bluetooth i have found that rasp pi BT is weak.

Sometimes switching it off in venus menu then back on in command line helps stability. But anything more than 4/m is not great

thank you @Alexandra ! but the devices are very closed to each other - less than 1 meter.

the one I tried ist teh one directly next to the Raspi. Distance should not be a problem.

Also the connection shutdown does not happen 'by chance' but after a defined period of time. As if I woud have to continue some commanding when the prompt changes to [SmartSolar HQ2315...] after connection got established.

Do you know if and where to find a manual or overview regarding the VenusOS ssh commands?

Venus os is not designed to attach devices via Bluetooth. It is for wired connections only. Bluetooth is only for small systems without a GX.

Bluetooth is limited to Ruuvi and Mopeka only.
