I’m collating all the history data from my SmartSolar 100|20 into a spreadsheet to do further analysis on. One thing I want to do is estimate State Of Charge of my battery bank (2x60ah Victron Lithium) using the daily YIELD and CONSUMPTION figures (ALL my loads, which are all DC and modestly light - are taken from the load output terminals). I’m getting a large discrepancy between the sum of these values (over X days since last full recharge) and what the voltage of the battery bank says about SOC (which this morning dropped down to 12.25v which is around 10% SOC). However the sum of the aforementioned values suggests the battery is only down to around 45%SOC, which clearly isn’t the case.
My question is for anyone who knows for sure (ie. probably only victron staff): Does the YIELD value shown in the history include power that went directly from PV to loads during the day, or does it ONLY count charge yielded directly to the battery?
Similarly, does the CONSUMPTION value include power that went directly from PV to loads during the day, or only power that was consumed FROM the battery?
If the two overlap then this might explain the discrepancy in my calculations...
