Winterizing boats with smart LFP - best practice

Hi!

Based on various documentation and community threads we have decided to do the following for winterizing our boats:

- deplete batteries to around 60%

- disconnect the Multi/Quattors connected

- disconnect all the loads, even BMS and BMV

Since we usually have 12V chargers with AGMs connected on the AC out, would keeping the Multi/Quattro On without batteries connected work to tickle charge the AGMs over the winter? I suppose when this doesn't see the BMS it would immediately disable charging, but would the passthrough work? Do you think we will need to reconfigure the chargers to remove the assistant and set the max charge to 0 Amps?

We would like to avoid rewiring to whole thing and connect AC out to AC in directly.

Would the cells stay in balance over these months?

Any suggestions? other best practices?

thanks

eliott

So you have both a lithium bank and an AGM bank? Are you asking about best practice re: winterisation for both chemistries? Do you have a system sketch?

Whats your definition of winterisation - how long is it?
