We have deployed a system which consists of 3 x Multiplus II 5kW in a 3-phase config combined with a SolarEdge SE17k Grid-tied inverter. The SolarEdge is coupled to the load side of the Multiplus. It is connected to the Victron GX on the home network and is detected by the GX. The following anomaly is occurring in a full on-grid situation. Config 1 - The ESS configuration on the GX is set to “keep battery fully charged”. The SolarEdge is not throttled and generates significant power which feeds the load. Config 2 - The ESS configuration on the GX is set to “maximum self-consumption” After a minute or 2 the SolarEdge starts being throttled down until it is generating zero power. The load is being powered by the battery via the Multiplus units and no grid power is drawn (this is expected) - see Option 2 Performance. What needs to be done to stop the SolarEdge inverter from being throttled ? Is there a tech note on the specific GX settings and approach needed for configurations like this ?
