Cerbo GX connector won't grab

Trying to connect temp probe to my Cerbo GX. I'm using the probe and terminal block that came with the Cerbo.

The terminal block won't grab the terminal on the end of the temp probe? Do I have to cut the ferrel's off and put on a different one?

I've attached a picture of the probe and terminal block.

Hi Scott,

The ferrule on that temperature probe is too short, it should look like this; much longer than what is shown on your photo.

Short term for you; yes you will need to cut it off and find a way to make it longer (note just pushing the bare wires in isn't going to be enough to engage the clamp mechanism but it is possible if you are strategic with a small flat head screwdriver.

Long term; Can you please let me know the serial number of your GX device and I will report it to manufacturing for internal investigation.

Soldering the ends works as well.
