Unwanted Recharge every 2 montth

Hi, have a strange behavior with my 3x Multiplus II 5000 + REC BMS. Configured ESS in Summer to stop charging between 50...60% to preserve battery altering by limitting ESS max. charging current and voltage. Works fine for nearly 2 month but then ESS switches to state "recharge" and it starts to recharge from grid. No request to recharge from the battery.
Figured out that if I increase the limits back to 100% and charge the battery to 100%, then ESS will leave "recharge" to normal operation.
Scheduled charging levels are inactive. SOC >40% every time.
How can I turn off the "recharge" activities happens every 2 month in the ESS?
Thank you.

Hi, I have a similar problem and it seems that absolutely no information on that can be found.

My situation: also using rec-bms. always when I disconnect and reconnect battery, recharge status at multiples starts and there is no way to stop it until it reaches 100%.

Always when I switch of the battery or the bms switches the battery off or when I install a new battery, then this modus starts.

Some time ago this wasn’t a problem, I think at any multiplied firmwar update this changes, because at former systems I didn’t had this problem.

Unfortunate there is no hint how to stop and how to change this behaviour.

Switch on-off the rec-bms, switches off the power relay, as soon as the multiplus dc voltage drops and after reconnecting it is on recharge modus.

I don’t think it has to do with rec bms.

Its any multiplies firmware specific change.

But I don’t understand why nobody, just we two ever see this, unwanted behaviour.

I am an installer and at older systems I never hat this problem.

The problem started when installing systems about October 2023, I always use the lates firmware, before I never had this problem to wait until the battery is full to see if the system does what it should.

Back to your problem: normally the recharge ^status^ starts when disconnecting the battery and reconnecting or maybe just disconnecting the can bus bms. I think that at your system there must be any unwanted reconnection either of the can bus messages or the power relay switches on/off by any reason, you should look at the dc voltages on those unwanted action if it drops very low, than the bms switched the power relay.

For example, if you have lifepo, they might gain a difference between highest/lowest cell or any other thing that the bms let switch the relay.
