Venus OS connect failure after power cycle after PIN change

Greetings, fellow tweakers. I'm brand-new to Venus OS on a Pi 4B Rev 1.5 / 4 GB. I happily had the latest 6/27/24 large build (FW 3.34) up and running (without connected devices while I await my VE.Direct UART to USB-C adapter and cables), and connected to VRM. I had started up on a small portable battery for initial setup and figured a power failure would be a good early test, since this will live in my battery box and be powered therefrom.

I had reset the PIN from default to the one I use with my devices, and renamed the device.

Unfortunately, after the power failure (battery disconnect), I can no longer connect to the Venus OS device in VictronConnect. I've tried the PIN that I set, and it fails. I tried the default, and it hangs.

Is there a way to recover the installation? I can start over, of course, but since I will want to save history once I get devices connected, I'm hoping that there is a way to restore access without complete reset.

Thanks for any input,

Venus OSRaspberry Pi

One of the better bugs I've seen:

Well, after I gave up and reflashed my SD cards, I discovered that the problem was likely a conflict between the iOS record of pairing in BT settings (which landed there automatically, I did not add it outside of VictronConnect pairing), and the VictronConnect reattempt to pair. I'm concerned that this could break with a mere power cycle, but I hope there was some other issue afoot.

Forgetting the device in VictronConnect (VC) had no effect--it remained present in VC--until I forgot it from iOS BT settings. I was then able to repair. I did also power cycle my iPhone in the course of exploring this. More testing to be done over time!
