cannot tighten/loosen terminal screw on my 100/20 mppt solar charger

Trying to change solar cables and as luck would have it...the negative terminal screw will not retract or tighten....I am now left with a 1/4 inch of braided wire sticking out. Frustrating. Any ideas?

Use Wd-40 or Blaster
