Lynx smart BMS with third party batteries only for lynx distributor fuse monitoring

I am clear that the Lynx smart BMS is exclusive for Victron lithium batteries, but I would like to use it with other batteries, even lead-acid, regardless of whether the internal contactor or the battery alarms do not work, I need it only to use the fuse monitoring function of a Lynx distributor in a telecom application, where I need to know the status of the DC fuses remotely.

Does anyone know if it is possible to trick the Lynx Smart BMS into doing this?

Thank you for your time to read and answer.

Sunny regards

This is not a definitive answer, but may well be a work around, and points that you may be thinking in the right direction. If you read the manual, Section 8.4.4, it says if you connect a battery extension cable on the BMS it fools it into thinking that healthy batterie are attached. I assume this means it will close the contactor and function properly.
