Phoenix 24/800 pc connection and software

I bought a Phoenix 24/800 and a 24/1200 inverters and the manual states:

"3.5 Configuration The inverter is ready for use with the factory settings (see specifications), and can be configured with a computer (VE.Direct to USB interface cable needed), Apple and Android smartphones, tablets and other devices (VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle needed)."

I have the VE.Direct to USB interface cable. I've searched the internet what to with it but configuration of such devices is not described and founded. I only see information using a mk3 to usb with vebus not with ve direct.

How can i configure these Phoenix inverters with a pc?

Thanks. I allways thought victronconnect is only a app for telephones but now i found the windowsinstaller.
