On our boat, I've got 5 Victron SmartSolar MPPT controllers connected to a Cerbo on a 24vdc sytem. Each of the regulators is connected to enough panels wired in series to produce >30vdc. But I also have a 200 watt panel that is in a spot where it doesn't make sense to connect it in series with another panel. The max voltage on that panel is about 20vdc so it won't work with a Victron MPPT controller. Instead, that panel is on a Genasun boost controller. That all works fine, but it's left out of the excellent monitoring regime that the Cerbo provides. For example, the Cerbo will display daily energy consumption and solar production separately. But that Genasun controller isn't recognized by the Cerbo so the "consumption" it reports is actually the energy consumed minus whatever the Genasun controlled panel contributed. And the solar production does not include the Genasn panel.
Is there any way to get that 200 watt panel into the Victron family on our boat? Something to do with a Smartshunt? Or a DC-DC converter. (Or Victron, could you please make a boost controller?)
Thanks.
