Is VE.Bus same as VE.Net?

Trying to connect VE.Net Battery Controller to CCGX .

Have data cable connected between both devices but don’t seem to be getting and data on CCGX

I have two MultiPlus 12/3000/120 units, 6 BattleBorn batteries, CCGX, VE.Net Battery Controller, 2 MPPT 100/30 devices. MPPT units not installed yet

Ready to connect data cables from both inverters to network, trying one device at a time to make sure things work...

Hi,

VE.Bus is different to VE.net. They are not compatible.

There is some explanation in the Victron Data Protocols Whitepaper -

VE.Net (deprecated) VE.Net is a proprietary protocol used by some of our older, now also depreciated control panels. Third party connections are not possible. New products will not be equipped with VE.Net. They are equipped with VE.Can, VE.Bus or VE.Direct instead.

VE.Bus VE.Bus is our proprietary protocol used by the Inverters to synchronize their AC outputs. There are VE.Bus communication ports on our Inverters, Multi’s and Quattro’s. The synchronization feature is mission-critical. Direct third-party connections are not allowed. VE.Bus is also used to communicate between VE.Bus inverters and GX devices.
