On/Off Battery Switch with BMV 712

Hi, I am using an On/Off manual battery switch that has been placed between the battery's positive terminal and the positive loads cable (that was originally connected to the battery's positive terminal.)

The BMV712 manual says that both it's power supply (from +B1) and the temperature sensor (from +B2) wiresshould be connected to the battery's positive terminal.

With the On/Off manual battery switch installed, where should the two BMV712 positive wires be connected?

Still connected directly to the battery's positive terminal, in which case the BMV712 would presumably still be drawing power---even when the On/Off manual battery switch is turned Off, which is not what I want,

Or should the two BMV172 wires be connected to the output terminal of the On/Off battery switch?

In order for the temperature sensor to measure the correct battery temperature it must be mounted directly to the battery positive terminal

To work around this you could consider;

- Using a 2nd independent switch, wired inline with the battery monitor positive lead

- Using a relay triggered/energized by the battery isolator to connect/disconnect the battery monitor positive lead
