Fremde USB-Adapter mit Venus OS auf MultiPlus II GX

Ich plane meine PV-Anlage mit einem Batteriespeicher über einen MultiPlus II GX zu erweitern.


Ungerne würde ich aber ein weiteres, von Victron direkt unterstütztes, Smart Meter installieren.
Das bereits vorhandene Smart Meter lese ich per Raspberry Pi und USB Can-Bus Adapter per Pyhton aus und habe die Daten per MQTT verfügbar.

Gerne würde ich das Auslesen vom Pi auf den MultiPlus verlagern; somit müsste der USB-Adapter am MultiPlus angeschlossen und das Pyhton-Script auf dem MultiPlus ausgeführt werden.

Ist Venus OS ein so vollwertiges Linux OS, dass x-beliebige USB-Geräte unterstützt und als Interface im OS gelinkt werden können, damit lokale Python-Scripte darauf zugreifen können?

Ich leite dich mal weiter ...

I am planning to expand my PV system with a battery storage system via a MultiPlus II GX.


However, I would love to install another smart meter that is directly supported by Victron.
The already existing smart meter via Raspberry Pi and USB
Can-Bus adapter via Pyhton and have the data available via MQTT.

I would like to move the readout from the Pi to the MultiPlus;
so the USB adapter would have to be connected to the MultiPlus and the
Pyhton script would have to be executed on the MultiPlus.

Is Venus OS such a fully-fledged Linux OS that supports any
USB devices can be supported and linked as an interface in the OS,
so that local Python scripts can access them?
