I am using a SmartShunt to monitor current usage by an electric motor. Is there any way to set an alarm for excess current use? I am trying to protect my motor from burnout.

Since you have asked in another topic about connection to a Cerbo GX then if you have the Cerbo GX connected to VRM (Victron Remote Monitoring, the Victron cloud) then you can set up alarms in VRM including current through the shunt and have emails sent. If you also set up the VRM app on your phone you get alarm notifications on that.
You can set one of the digital inputs to bilge alarm, then use node red to fashion whatever you want to trigger the alarm.
