I use a usb-ftdi-rs232 converter on a Cerbo GX, which keeps dissappearing.
I can watch this in /var/log/messages (see below).
I already tried to swap out the usb converter (different manufacturer, different cables), I even replaced the device behind the usb converter, same result. I also tried the second usb connector on the Cerbo GX.
This happens in irregular invertals. I had this problems before VenusOS 2.94, with VenusOS 2.94 it worked for months. After update to VenusOS 3.20 the problem reappeared again and the connection is lost several times a day.
I also use a rs485 adapter on this installation, which works fine on both usb connectors.
This same setup works fine on another 11 installations.
I'm just trying to find out if this is a software or hardware-related problem.
Has anyone else similar problems with usb devices on Cerbo GX?
Next steps will be:
- factory resetting CerboGX, maybe trying older VenusOS versions
- replacement of the Cerb GX, but the dealer refuses a free replacement after explaining the problem
