Induced Currents

I am installing two 1200 watt strings on a

corrugated iron roof. I intend to pass the

conductors through the roof using two

compression glands, which will be about a couple of inches apart (50mm).

If this was an AC installation, I would be worried

about eddy currents formed by the rapidly

changing magnetic fields inducing current in the

corrugated iron.

Is this an issue with solar DC? A static DC current

will not induce a current. The current will change

slowly with cloud cover but I don't think that will be a problem. Will my Victron charge controller do anything that might cause a problem?

@Wgt

It's pulsed DC so can get a tingle there. Earth the roof and panels. How are they mounted?
