Will a soft start be beneficial with an inerter air-conditioner

Hi everyone, I have been reading a lot of info on the benefits of using a soft start for air-conditioners. But I could not find anything in relation to inverter air-conditioners which are softer on start up. Just looking for improvements when possible. I currently run an ibus4 aircon off a HondaE2200 generator without issue other than annoying anyone parked close. Would a soft start improve the situation or is a waste of money in this situation?
