All,
My Cyrix-Li-Ct recently died and none were available (separate challenge) so that we can continue function I connected our 3 x 200aH Victron Super Pack directly to our starter battery/alternator when they need to be charged and then disconnect them.
I have noticed in charging the Super Packs that the charging rate starts out around 100amps and then jumps to around 170amps and then slowly decreases from there.
I'm curious about how the SuperPacks are designed to function and recharge. Any insights?
Adding some additional context, we are in MB Sprinter van and the alternator can produce 200 amps. The starter battery was connected via a 22ft section of 1/0 welding wire to a 120amp fuse then connected to the Cyrix then to the positive bus bar connected to the 3 Super Pack which are connected in parallel.
