ArgoFET Energizer Terminal Connection

I have a Nanni N4.50 engine in my sailboat and would like to add a 2 battery bank ArgoFET Battery isolator.

With reference to the ArgoFET wiring diagram, the ArgoFET Energizer terminal should be connected to the wire that goes from the engines alternator warning light to the starter switch.

On your diagram the wire runs from the alternator +D terminal to the warning light then to the starter switch, with the ArgoFET Energizer terminal connected between the warning light and the starter switch.

Rather than connecting the ArgoFET Energizer between the warning light and starter switch, is it ok to just connect it directly to the Alternator D+ terminal?

If not directly to the alternator D+ terminal are there any other options?

The ArgoFET requires B+ to operate and, conventionally this is a switched B+. Some alternatives for a source for switched B+ are the run position on the ignition switch or the load side of the oil pressure alarm sender.

Hope this helps
