We have a bmv702 wich was working nicely. When connected to shore power we saw the inverter going to float mode and the reading on the bmv was something like 0.28 amp (so coming in). When I switched of the shore power we saw the bmv reading -1.8 amps, so indicating we are consuming from the battery.
The only issue we had was that the rj12 cable at the shunt end didn't click anymore causing a loose contact with once in a while losing the connection to the bmv.
We decided to replace it with another victron utp rj12 cable but now the reading is a constant 4.4 amps. No matter if we are on shore power or not the reading does not change. Even turning off the inverter doesn't change it.
I already got a new cable and am gonna try it tomorrow but was just wondering if anybody has an idea what could be going on.
Surely the bmv itself cannot be broken as it worked perfectly till replacing the cable....
