I've got a Solar panels + Nickel Iron battery set up at my house, and I'm basically at my wit's end with these batteries. They are supposedly almost indestructible, but not so it seems. They are basically damaging themselves at this point, and until I can get local support I want to turn them off and stop further damage from occurring.
My house is still grid connected, which supplies our backup needs. Is it possible (via the charge controller software) to halt the charge/discharging of the batteries altogether, whilst keeping the solar panels powering the house during the day?
