I have a 12V battery bank and a 24V thruster in my boat. To accommodate charging I use a Buck booster so I can charge with both alternators at the same time. In the recent weeks I have noticed a significant drop in the charging characteristics. I get power from the 12V alternator, but when i clamp the amperemeter over the cable out from the buck booster, the Ampere seems to drop to almost nothing when I increase the rpm on the engine.
