I have a Lynx Power In, Smart BMS & Distributor that I am installing and intend to install an MLB-RS 500A battery switch between the Power In & Smart BMS. I would like to add a 500A/50mV current measuring shunt on the negative side before the Smart BMS to provide current sense to the Nordkyn VRC that is managing the 2 alternators. I see no other way to provide the VRC with current sense. Is there any reason I shouldn't add the shunt?
