Using VictronConnect to update the inverter firmware

Hi,

I used the VictronConnect software to update my inverter. Wow!

Have one suggestion, I think this is the place:
When the software updates, can it not make a automatic backup of the existing settings and then when the upgrade is finished, ask / force a restore of the backup that was made prior?

It could probably move towards a situation where end users, T&C's and warnings applying, do their own inverter firmware updates, seeing it is now so easy.

Hi Jaco,

Storing the settings first; and re-applying them afterwards is indeed on the table here. To discuss pitfalls etc and the hopefully include the functionality.
