Will an isolation transformer also corrects reverse polarity? Is is self-polarizing?

The isolation transformer works with AC (alternating current).

There is no "reverse polarity" in AC because the polarity changes 50 or 60 times per second.

Or maybe I did not understood your question...

OP is describing a reversed hot/neutral on the grid/shore power input.

Yes, the isolation transformer will isolate anything down stream of it from reversed hot/neutral.

However anything up stream of the transformer will still be subjected to line voltage on the neutral. Generally, the neutral conductor is not fused so any fault to safety ground could result in significant current flow and there may be no fuse/breaker to interrupt this current. It is advisable to fit the incoming power with a dual-pole breaker that will interrupt the neutral and hot conductors in the case of a fault.
