Just getting ready to install Victron Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Chargers. All is fine except a question on the connection of my Emergency House Switch in case the start battery is dead or low.
In the attached diagram there are 2 switches Start Battery Switch and Emergency House Switch. The Start Battery Switch will virtually to always be closed. The Emergency House Switch will always be open unless we needed the house to start the engine or the start battery to power the house.
Will any damage be done if both the in and the out on the DC to DC are connected which is what would happen if the Emergency House Switch was closed.
