What is the low voltage shutdown voltage for the Phoenix 24/3000. Is it adjustable through my BMV700 battery monitor? Or through the unit itself? What are the implications of reducing the shutdown level to say 20volts on say an electric ring, a TV or a toaster?
A 24V battery pack would not like being drawn down to 20V. at all. Check the specs on your 12v battery to see how far they can be drawn down. The more depth of discharge, the shorter the lifetime generally speaking. Allowing pack to be pulled to 20V means system will try to run the battery till its flat (and quite possibly irreversibly)
The default cut off voltage is very low and should be adjusted.
You can configure it by using a PC and a MK3 interface with the veconfig software (recommend).
Or with the dip switches on the device (tricky and not recommend)
Thanks for your reply. You say that the default voltage is very low, but I wondered if you meant very high? It seems to cut out at about 23.5v.
