Why does it charge, and exceeds grid limit?

The load on L1 is almost 25A, the grid limit has set to 25A, but Victron stil decides to charges the battery. The grid current increases to 32A which will cause a potential activation of the circuit breaker. The load is on the AC in side, but Victron knows the grid current by the EM24 energy meter. So why is Victron charging and exceeding the grid limit?

Setup is 3x Multi II 48/3000, ESS

What is your phase compensation setting?

If your grid limit is 32A you should really set it lower than the max.

The setting for the input current limit is for the current that is going through the MultiPlus.

You can't set a limit for the current coming from the grid.

Hmmm, I am Off-the-Grid and if you connect a GenSet it apply for both, trough the Inverter and charging.

Hence it does not apply if you select "Grid connected"?

This is in my opinion a strange behaviour, especiall if you set your MultiPlus-II into power-assist, then the MultiPlus-II has also to know the limit of the Grid, to know when to switch into "Power Assist Mode".

Can you clarify this please?

@Michelle Konzack The input current limit, PowerAssist and PowerControl only apply to the current coming in/going through the MultiPlus.

If you have loads connected directly to the grid that current can't be controlled.

@MarceldB has 5,5kW connected between the grid meter and the AC IN.

It is a input current limit not a grid current limit.
