Smart shunt 500a synchronise voltage

My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere before.

What voltage should my battery bank be when I run the "Synchronise SOC to 100%" in the VictronConnect app? Should it be at a specific voltage or anything over a specific voltage?

I am running 2x12v 200ah AGM batteries in series for a 24v system.

Thank you

Do you mean the charged voltage in the battery settings?

You shouldn't need to synchronise the shunt. It's automatic.

There are three settings that control this, charged voltage, charge detection time, tail current. Once all three are met, the shunt will synch to 100%.

Generally for mains charging, set the voltage about float level, so about 28.7V or a little higher.

For solar charging increase this to about or just below absorption voltage, about 28.7V. Also increase charge detection time and reduce tail current. This is to counter the effect of clouds/variable sunlight.

All these settings are for you to tune the shunt to your installation. Many people reduce tail current even for mains charging, for instance.
