On the Victron website, there is a phrase that says:
Note on the latest LG Resu models (3.3, 6.5 and 10)
Set the SW select switches 3 & 4 on the battery to select the right protocol (LGC Smart).
The RESU 6.5 has three gangs of DIP switches and three rotary switches for the CAN (CAN H, L and GND).
I am connecting the RESU 6.5 into a system that previously had a RESU 6.4 connected to the Venus GX, so plan to use the same CAN cable. (My 6.4 died and LG Chem have replaced it with a 6.5).
My understanding is that "SW select DIP" should be set to 0011 (LGC smart)
"Cell select" DIP should be left at 00 (default) - is this correct?
"Term select" DIP should be left at 11 (default) - is this correct?
CAN H rotary switch has initial setting of 4 - is this the same as RESU 6.4?
CAN L rotary switch has initial setting of 5 - is this the same as RESU 6.4?
CAN GND rotary swtich has initial setting of 2 - is this the same as RESU 6.4?
I think that the rotary switch postions are correct for the Type B CAN cable installed.
Thanks for your help/reassurance!
