I need to buy a multiplus compact 12/1600/70 or the new multiplus 12/1600/70, but I'm not sure if they are compatible with my two lifepo4 renogy batteries 200Ah. Do I need to buy an VE.Direct or victron mk3-usb for they to be compatible?

They are not on the official compatible list.
You can, however, program the inverter with the MK3 to usb adaptor and victron connect to charge them the way the manufacturer recommends.
So either one I choose, I will alway need the MK3 to usb adaptor right?

The Smart Charger IP43, I think you will not need the adaptor. Because you can change the settings you need for the batteries via the Bluetooth and Victron Connect app.
