B2B charger and current limitation at campervan installation

Hi!

For a smal installation in a camper (12V/100...200 Ah) I do search for a B2B battery charger/booster which offers to limit the charging current. Does the Orion-Tr Smart series offer such?

Background: currently I'm on AGM batteries which can only take up to 12...15A charging current. They take higher currents, but detoriate significantly. In a while, these will be replaced by Li-Batteries able to take 80 A and more. Presumably these will be charged at some 30...40 A for installation reasons.

Is there any solution to charge (according to bulk-,float- and trickle chargeing) offering to set the max charging amps?

There's no current management in the Orions. It relies on battery resistance/voltage. A small Orion will fit your current needs. When you upgrade to lithium you can add a second, higher power one on parallel. So the smaller one is not wasted.

Current Orions don't have current limiting. If you can wait a few more weeks, the new Smart Buckboost is supposed to be released which should have this feature.

Alternatively, you can use a single low-amp Orion and add a second one in the future if needed.
