Hello everyone.
I just finished setting up the electrical system of my camper with 2x 200Ah LiFePo4 batteries. Now I'd like to optimize the settings of the Victron peripherals that I have for my setup.
I bought two 12V 200Ah LiFePo4 batteries, the same in the picture:
This is the datasheet attached to the batteries:
(My version is the 12V 200Ah)
I have the 1x Victron SmartShunt after the two batteries, 1x Victron MPPT 50/100, 1x Victron Blue Smart IP22 Bluetooth 12/30 AC/DC, 1x Orion-TR Smart 12/12-30A DC/DC not isolated. Shunt and MPPT are connected to a Venus OS on a RPi 3B+ and finally MPPT, Shunt, AC/DC are on the same bluetooth network.
For the Shunt I setted 400Ah for the capacity and by default I have:
- Charged voltage: 13.2V
- Discharge threshold: 50%
- Tail current: 4.00%
- Battery charged time: 3m
- Peukert coefficient: 1.25
(For the moment I never did a SOC sync or a 0 current calibration)
Is also set as "battery monitor".
For the MPPT I have
- 12V battery
- max output current 50A
- active battery charger: true
- Smart Lithium LiFePo4
- absorption voltage: 14.20V
- holding voltage: 13.50V
- compensation voltage: disabled
- Operative mode: BatteryLife
For the Orion DC/DC:
Battery motor setup:
- normal alternator (I have a 2.8 TDI 130CV 2005 engine)
- start voltage: 14V
- retarded start voltage 13.8V
- 120s for retarded start
- stop voltage: 13.5V
Service (lifepo4) battery setup:
- Smart Lithium(lifepo4)
- absorption voltage: 14.2V
holding voltage: 13.5V
10h of time limit for the first phase of charge
no adaptive absorption time
My main problem is that sometime the SmartShunt after few time of sun or few time of driving say that the battery is fully charged. Of course it is not. I think is a setup issue.
The other question is: do you know a possible good setup for, first of all, safety and also for a good maintenance of the battery.
Thank you a lot.
