US2000: Add additional battery packs (used ones)

Hello again,

currently I have 2 battery packs in use, they work good.

One US2000C (about 1 year old) and
one US2000B (about 3 years old)
Today I will get 2 additional ones, they're used but in very good condition.

What's the best way to implement them?
Load every single one to 100% and connect them for balancing (without loading) ? Is there any other thing to do ?

Thank you!

BR,

Alex

@americanium

Since they are used batteries new battery cell balancing is likely not an issue

In theory you can add them straight to the bank. The newest battery should be the master (since firmware on the batteries is important).

I prefer to charge them all up and then combine. But apparently Pylons can sort themselves out.

Then the usual update battery capacity on the inverter.

Thank you @Alexandra !

I charged them to 100% - waited an hour for stabilizing voltage - connected all packs together and waited another hour for final balancing between the pylon packs - works great for now.

VenusGX said automatically that now 200Ah are available. Do I need to update via VEConfigure additionally?

Thanks!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Ideally yes. Reprogram the Inverter capacity as well.
