Victron Energy EasySolar 24/1600/40 > Maximum PV open voltage

Hello!

I have a question about the Victron Energy EasySolar 24/1600/40, maybe one of you can answer it for me.

The solar charging controller (MPPT 100/50) that is installed has a maximum PV open voltage of 100V. Are these 100V intended for all three inputs, or per PV connection?

If that is really supposed to be the sum of all three inputs, I can't find any modules that utilize 1400 watts at 24V AND do not exceed the maximum empty PV voltage.

Does somebody has any idea?

Thank you!

Best regards!

Walter

@lapachon

It is 100v per mppt input.

3x pretty much any panel will work one to each input.

You could "over" panel and be fine (3 X 500W panels 3in parallel) you would just current limit to the 50A if you ever see the full wattage.

No idea what your install space it like for panels.

There is an online mppt calculator or the spreadsheet one to run a few scenarios/potential panels to test them out.

Ah ok, it's 100v per mppt! Thank you!

So now, i will use three of this Panel like attached in parallel use.

The MPPT 100/50 in the EasySolar will work for this.

This Panel has Imp/A = 14.14 * 3 == 42,42 < 50 from the MPPT 100/50.

Thank you for your Answer.

The 50A are the output Amperes, not the Input.

I am not sure, that you can use more then two modules of this dimension in parallel
