I have specific power requirements and equipment options I need advice on:
Power Sources:
- Primary source: Split phase 240V service, consisting of L1 (120V), L2 (120V) - N, and PE (Ground).
- Secondary source: 120V only via L1 (120V), N, PE.
- 24V Battery System with a maximum continuous discharge rate of 5.2KW.
- I require 3200 watts of inverting capability.
Equipment Considered:
- Given the input voltage variations (120V or 240V), I'm considering:
- MultiPlus-II 2x120V
- Quattro-II 2x120V
- Both have internal transfer relays but are limited to 2400W.
Questions:
- Is there a US version of the Quattro II - 24/5000/120-50? It currently outputs 230V @ 50 Hz, which isn't suitable for US needs.
- The Quattro-II 2x120V and MultiPlus-II 2x120V models are capped at 24/3000. It appears my only option is the Quattro - 24/5000/120-100/100 120V.
- Regarding the Quattro - 24/5000/120-100/100 120V:
- Can I connect L1 and L2 to the two AC inputs on the Quattro and program it to accept the split-phase power?
- If not, what alternative solution would you recommend for my needs?
I considered getting the European version of the Quattro and using an Autotransformer to step down the 240V output into two 120V legs, but since I have no 240V loads, this doesn't seem practical. Additionally, it wouldn't address situations where I only have a 120V power source.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice, especially if the Quattro-II 2x120V or MultiPlus-II 2x120V models were available in 5000VA. Thank you for your assistance.
