Hi! I've always configured (VEConfigure) the Multipluses by first running them on battery only (no AC-connected) and then when all is configured, connected to AC.
Currently I have the batteries for the installation at a different location, but I'd like to configure the Multiplus before I go to where the batteries are.
Is it OK to connect the Multiplus to only AC-in (no DC-connected) and configure them without a battery connected? There's no mention on any limitation for this in the manual.

In this video Guy Stewart clearly says that it's possible to use either battery power or AC-power at (1:27 in the video) and gives no precautions to that.

Below is a discussion about this but the conclusion is not clear as it gives the impression that you risk tripping the circuit breaker just trying start it for configuration.

If there's a problem with inrush current, it would be helpful to know how many amps you should expect on the AC-in.
I'm guessing there's a lot of seasoned installers in this forum so if any of you have experience in configuring with AC-in only it would be nice to hear and if you also have experienced high inrush current tripping the circuit breakers (or not).
