Ve BUS BMS V2 problem to change from Charging only to Inverter on with Quattro

Hi,

CERBO GX cannot change Switch ON / Charger Only from the touchscreen the error message is that with VE BUS BMS is not possible but we changed from VE BUS BMS version 1 (where was not possible) to VEBUS BMS version 2 that Victron advise that is possible


Configuration is;

  1. CERBO GX (firmware v3.00) connected to VE BS BMS V2 on the "REMOTE PANNEL PORT"
  2. VE.Bus BMS V2 (firmware v113) connected to a 200AMP 12V Victron Smart Lit. Battery with the 2 cables to the cerbo on the "REMOTE PANNEL PORT" to the Victron Ve.BUS MAINS DETECTOS on the "Quattro port"
  3. Ve.BUS MAINS DETECTOS connected on 1 side to the BMS and on the other port to the QUATTRO 12/3000/120 2x50 inverter chager
  4. QUATTRO 12/3000/120 2x50 inverter chager (firmware v505)


  • All units included BMS and battery are upgraded to latest sostware versions
  • DVCC is enabled an see correctly BMS and control correctly solar chargers


The only problem is that we cannot control Charger Only/ON of the inverter and leaving it swiched on the boat 24 hours drain the battery normally we swich on the inverter only to make a coffie offor hairdrier (the quattro is located in a point where the button in difficoult to access)

Without additional information like wiring diagram, VEConfigure screenshots etc. it's not easy to diagnose and give guidance. But the first thing that comes to mind is a misconfiguration in the Quattro.

You already had the VE.Bus BMS v1 installed, so it stands to reason that you still have the VE.Bus BMS Assistant loaded, leading to this symptom that you can't switch inverter/charger states. If that's the case, remove the assistant.
