Could you just use a smart shunt rather than having BMS communication, they're pricey but i think otherwise you'll need to write custom driver to get BMS communication to work unless someone else already has.

Yes - I found that you can use

BatteryView_us2000b_series_3-0-26 to reset communication timeout

so Battery stays alive - with internal protection

To get lifedata from the Battery --> Wifi and MQTT

https://www.rustimation.eu/index.php/solar-pylontech-akku-ueber-konsole-aufwecken/

no wakeup so far with LFP2500 but rest works so far

best regards

MIC

Hi, do you mean you updated the firmware on the sonnen lfp2 to the pylontech us2000b firmware?

They now stay on and communicate with victron?

That's amazing if it's that easy. I'm scared to brick my battery's though.

Nope - no Firmware update,

just connect via RS232 and open BatteryView_us2000b_series_3-0-26

(Country settings in Windows must be American !!!)

select the correct Com Port - start to Scan

then go to Options --> Control Pan

Click in the Set Row on line 3: Close external comunication timeout

cell turns green --> the Battery stay's alive - just switch on or off with green button

or internal Protection

but no communication with Victron Components thats part 2

Sonnen RS232 --> D1 Mini --> WIFI --> mqtt --> NodeRed --> Batt % to Multiplus

good luck

Michael
