If an Orion converter has it’s output at say 13.2V which is parallel with a battery, does it get damaged when an alternator starts outputting 14.4V to that?

If an Orion converter has it’s output at say 13.2V which is parallel with a battery, does it get damaged when an alternator starts outputting 14.4V to that?
Can you confirm you have a orion converter not the orion smart charger?
So long as input voltage is adequate:
In power supply mode it will output the set voltage, irrespective of input voltage.
In charger mode it will output according to the battery charge settings, again irrespective of input voltage.
