I'd like to add another way of charging a current working 48v PV system with a 250/70 MPPT and a quattro 48/5000, off grid system.
I dont own a 8kva generator to charge the system when needed in the long dark winters.
but I have a car so, is it possible to hook an ORION 12v so I can charge the 48v system with the car? if not is there another alternative to this? I think it may not be possible to step up from 12v to 48v but I am not very familiar with the ORION device.
battery bank is two sets of 4 x 12v 200ah GEL in parallel.
suggestions?
