limiting the shore power to 5a

Hello - I have a multiplus 12/300/120-50 software version 1900125 - I have tried limiting the shore power to 5a (a small generator) using ve configure (both General page and virtual remote) - but it still draws 10amp and overloads generator - is there a fix please?

What is the model #? You may have to disable power assist to set it that low.
