Phoenix Inverter Overcurrent Protection

Am I correct in my understanding that the Phoenix Inverter 12/1200 (with the GFCI outlet) does NOT need any *additional* type of over current protection on the AC side?

In the manual there is a single sentence which states there is a device already internally for over current protection. Could someone explain to me what this device is and how it works?

I am wanting to wire up plugs to outlet receptacles and wondering if I should run these wires through a circuit breaker.

Any detailed explanations on how the AC (and DC for that matter) sides are protected in this inverter would be grately appreciated. This will go in a camper van build and I would like peace of mind. Thank you!

@cosecha

You should always have over current protection.

And it is basically a circuit breaker size for the circuit and wiring.
