I have a Keystone Cougar with the Solar Flex 400i package. I like to remove my batteries in the winter and want an easy way to kill the charging current to the batteries. Some units have a disconnect switch between the solar panels and charge controller, but mine does not.
I found the "Disable Charging" option in the Victron Connect app for the SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 and used that this year. Is this an appropriate long term solution? Or should I install a disconnect switch to kill all power going to the charge controller?
Thanks.
