Hi everyone.
We are having frequent power outages and I plan on having the IP22 permanently connected to my backup batteries. Will the charger automatically start/resume charging my batteries when the power returns after an outage or would I need to manually start charging every time?

Yes, it will. In fact, unplugging and plugging in the charger is the primary way to get it to kick off a new bulk charge cycle. There is no button to press or anything like that to start it charging.
