Battery Monitor Smart Shunt Placement

I was wondering the implications of having the smart shunt installed the way we did it now. We have the battery bank positive and negative terminals installed on a two seperate Bus bars and on those bar bars we also have two Non-Victron battery charges installed. We then have the smart shunt installed in between the negative bus bar to a Lynx DC distribution bar. From the Lynx DC distribution bar we connected all our MPPTs. Should the Smart Shunt placement stay like this or should the battery completely bypass the first negative bus bar and connect straight to the smart shunt?

What are the implications of the way we have it wired now vs the scenario where battery negative connected directly to smart shunt in relation to the two non-victRon chargers?

The shunt should be the closest to the battery. And the only thing connected to the negative of the battery.

Everything happens after that.

If it is not that way, then depending on what is on the wrong side then it will not count a load or a charge source.

Yes the Smart Shunt (Battery Side) should be the only thing connected to negative terminal of the battery. The implication is anything connected to the negative battery terminal and not the shunt, will not be monitored so the shunt will have no knowledge of your chargers/charge current so any smart shunt readings will not reflect what is actually happening be fairly meaningless.
