hard to answer that question as it varies with the size of inverter required.


basically the quitest is achieved by keeping the units cool and thus the internal fans dont turn on

so it maybe better to get a bigger than required unit, or air con the room, or add a extra QUITE fan under the unit.

The RS is probably the most quiet. Most of the new multi2’s now have improved fans so are much quieter, but they have a big transformer so like to hum a bit.

My MPII 48/5000 (purchased in 2022) can generate lots of noise. Especially if the fan turns on, usually above 1000 W charging / inverting even though it is installed in a stable cool room of about 18°C. We needed to isolate the room with an extra door ;-)

Am off grid, love the RS 6000. The fans are the quietest of all the units i have used to date.
