Smart shunt cable length to battery relevant?

Hi,

I want to connect my 500A SmartShunt to the 12V 520AH battery bank with a 95mm2 cable. 95mm2 is today also the size of the cable from the battery to the boat system.


The length of the cable between shunt and battery bank might be 50cm or 1.5m dependent on where I find a good place for the shunt.

Does the length of the cable between shunt and battery bank matter?

Nope. It's measuring current, mostly.
